Along with other San Diego Rescue Coalition groups like Wagging Dog Rescue, Second Chance Dog Rescue, San Diego, California, Lionel's Legacy, Holly's Garden Rescue and others, we are working hard to "Clear the Shelters" to reduce stress on County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, expecting the annual wave of strays after the 4th of July. This week we have taken in the following from local shelters: Rusty (red min pin from Chula Vista Animal Care Facility); Skittles (black pocket pittie), Rebel and Rumor (mastiff pups) from the North county shelter; Jovi and Crouton (chi-pom mixes) and a to-be-named broken legged chi-beagle from the South county shelter. Seven in a week is pretty good, but we'd love to clear more, even temporarily. If you would be interested in fostering a dog for TWO WEEKS starting this weekend, you'll be doing our local shelters and dogs a huge service. If interested, please message us or email info@dogsfurdays.org. All dogs will be provided food, all supplies, and vet care. You just give them a place to stay.
